Life is found in the questions of Jesus.
Contrary to some popular opinion, Jesus is not the ultimate “Answer Man,” but more like the Great Questioner. In the Gospels, Jesus asks many more questions than he answers. Jesus asks 307 questions in the four Gospels. He’s asked 183 questions, of which he only answers 3!
Obviously, Jesus prefers to ask questions rather than to provide answers. What do you think? (By the way, Jesus asked that question seven times!) Asking questions was central to Jesus’ life and teachings. The questions weren’t asked for His sake – He knew the answers – but for the sake of the one being asked.
This fall we will explore eight of Jesus’ questions and consider what they tell us about Jesus and about life and, more importantly, what our responses might say about what it means to follow Him. Join us October 1 – November 19 for Questions Jesus Asked: Timely Questions revealing Timeless Truths
