Which project is best for my family?
For families with younger kids, we especially recommend the PCC-based projects or the Street Life hygiene kit projects, which are designed to be accessible and engaging for all ages. All projects can be attended as a family as long as everyone meets the minimum age requirement listed for the project. Some projects may involve more physical work, outdoor conditions, or specialized tools. Each project description will clearly explain age requirements and what to expect so you can choose the best fit for your family.
Will there be lunch or food?
All projects will include light snacks and refreshments. We are strongly recommending bringing your own lunch. Some teams may gather together afterward for a shared meal or celebration. We’ll communicate any project-specific details ahead of time. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle and personal snacks if needed for specific dietary needs.
How will I get to each project?
Most volunteers will travel directly to their project site. After registration, you’ll receive the project address, arrival instructions, parking details, and your team leader’s contact information. Some groups may organize carpools depending on the project location. If transportation is difficult for you, let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
Do I need to bring anything?
We’ll provide most of the tools and supplies needed for each project. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, comfortable clothes, and work gloves if you have them. Outdoor projects may also require sunscreen or a hat. Any additional project-specific needs will be communicated before the event.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. Some projects may involve painting, landscaping, or light construction work. We also recommend dressing in layers for changing weather throughout the day.
How did we pick the projects?
Each project was selected through conversations with trusted local nonprofits, ministries, and community organizations. We asked partners what would genuinely serve and support their current needs. The result is a variety of meaningful opportunities that make a tangible impact across our communities. Our goal is to serve in practical ways while building long-term relationships with local partners.

Some projects are hands-on and physical, while others focus on hospitality, organization, or relationship-building.
