Need Support

Need Support

Receiving care from PCC comes in 3 main forms:

  • Crisis care to help you through unanticipated life events with prayer, one-to-one care, or financial support.
  • Coaching to help you determine goals.
  • Counseling to support you through healing from past or current painful struggles.

Crisis Care

Request Prayer

Praying on your behalf is a blessing to you and to us!

Submit your prayer request, based on the gathering you typically attend. A prayer team and gathering pastor will pray over your request.

Stephen Ministry

Timely help when you need it most.

In need of someone to care and listen? Stephen Ministers care for people during life transitions:

  • loss of a loved one
  • anxiety
  • illness
  • job loss
  • marriage issues
  • other life struggles

Stephen Ministry is a free, confidential support ministry. While not professional counselors, Stephen Ministers are carefully selected, receive 52 hours of training, and are equipped to meet weekly, privately, and confidentially. We provide one-to-one listening support, encouragement, and hope for anyone in our congregation or community. Stephen Ministers are Christian, though our care receivers are of various faith traditions or irreligious. We care and listen without judgment.

Contact us if you think you could benefit from the Christian care of a Stephen Minister.

During COVID-19 restrictions, we are offering care via telephone and video-call options.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.
-Galatians 6:2

Community Care Assistance

For those facing a financial challenge, we will consider providing assistance from our Community Care Fund. Peninsula Covenant Church is not a government-assisted agency. All available resources are collected through donations from our church community and given to members of the local community as a blessing.

Coaching involves a dialogue of discovery between two individuals—coach and person being coached (PBC)—that helps the PBC move forward.

How is a coach different?

Mentors, consultants, and counselors bring experience, solutions and therapeutic approaches. Coaches act as guides, who are trained in a powerful questioning technique, designed to help the PBC unlock their own answers and action steps.

Get a Coach

At PCC, we have trained coaches who are passionate about supporting others in specific areas of life. To acquire a coach, please contact the coach through the provided email address. An application and initial paperwork may be required for certain areas of coaching. Once assigned a coach, you will then be responsible for setting up an initial session. At this time, goals will be clarified and the number of sessions determined. In most cases, the only cost will be for materials, unless otherwise noted.
