Using the stories of Daniel and Jeremiah, we’ll explore what “exilic discipleship” looks like in today’s workplace. We’ll dialogue about what it means to follow God faithfully in work cultures and systems that don’t fully reflect His values, and consider how to avoid two extremes: blending in so much that we lose our distinctiveness (syncretism) or withdrawing so far that we stop engaging the world God has placed us in (separatism).
This workshop invites you into an experience of communal prayer that is simple, biblical, and deeply strengthening. Together we will explore how shared attentiveness, listening, responding, and praying as one body, opens space for God to move powerfully among us. You’ll practice praying through Scripture, learn how to pray with boldness and sensitivity, and discover how God uses the collective faith of a room to build courage and unity. Come ready to grow, to be encouraged, and to taste what a praying community can be.
As followers of Jesus, we want to be good stewards of the resources he’s entrusted to us. If you’re looking for a practical, encouraging space to gain wisdom & confidence with your money, this workshop is for you. You’ll walk away with straightforward strategies for improving your tax plan, preparing for retirement, and managing risk in uncertain times. The goal is simple: to equip you to steward well so you can live with greater freedom & confidence. This free session is offered by the Seek First Foundation, which serves churches across the Bay Area.
