Divorce Recovery

No one gets married intending to wind up in a divorce. Yet divorces happen to good people in spite of our best efforts. Recovering and growing healthier after a divorce is possible, but it requires an intentional investment. If you are ready to heal and ready to move into a new season of healing and growth, here are options that can help.

Addiction

Higher Power Recovery Celebration is a Christ-centered recovery group for a variety of addictions and issues. It is also a good source of referrals to help us find additional groups/resources for our specific issues.

Higher Power Group meets on Friday nights from 7-8:30pm at Central Peninsula Church, 1005 Shell Blvd, Foster City. You can attend live or on Zoom.

Women’s Cancer Support Group

A Women’s Cancer Support Group is where women come together to share their journeys and offer mutual strength. Here, we foster deep connections in a safe and compassionate space. Join us to find hope and resilience in each other’s company. This group meets in the San Jose area on (roughly) a monthly basis.

Parents of LGBTQ+ Kids Support Group

This support group, led and moderated by Pastor David Tieche, is a safe space where we’ll gather to learn practical ways we can continue to connect with our kids (no matter how old they are) and help our kids as they carry unique burdens and concerns.

This group is also a gift because it’s filled with parents of LGBTQ+ kids who can support you as a parent. And of course, we’ll take time to pray for our kids and for each other, bringing God into the most important ministry He’s given us – our kids.

Men’s Purity Group

Purity Group is a place for men to step out of isolation surrounding their sexual sin and step into an authentic community of men that can help support them in their quest to live into the MORE that God has for them—more meaningful relationships with God, family and friends; more focus, feeling and fight; more freedom to be who they were meant to be and live the life they were meant to live. We meet to:

  • Worship our God and refocus on Him instead of ourselves
  • View and review thought-provoking material
  • Dive deep into the root causes of our actions & bring them before Jesus
  • Learn to feel and cope with adversity in a godly way
  • Pray and listen deeply to the Holy Spirit

Meets Online: Tuesdays, 7:30pm

There is a faith-based group informed by the best practices of how to walk this walk. The group meets online on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 1:30-3:30pm. This group is benefiting believing parents from multiple Bay Area churches.
