FM: Kids Leader Substitute

Kids Sunday Leader Substitute

What we do:

Being readily available—at times with short notice—when a classroom leader is not available to serve, the Leader Substitute fills the gap, so kids can still come for programs and activities, have fun, and connect with peers and leaders.

Why we do it:

Because we value the importance of Christ-centered programs for our kids, we structure Children’s Ministry to have this critical role filled every Sunday. There will be times when a Lead will not be able to fulfill their assigned Sunday—with little notice. We still need to provide a quality experience for our kids; therefore, having a Leader Substitute is key! Maintaining consistency for the classrooms/programs is an important objective at PCC.

We know that providing a safe, structured, fun and friendly environment will help foster engagement and growth for our kids. We love knowing our PCC kids are developing relationships with each other and with Jesus. These aims drive us to maintain a high standard of quality—to the best of our ability. Therefore, we take measures to optimally enable our classroom leaders.

This role is integral to sharing the Word of God with kids, in accordance with our PCC Priorities—specifically The Family Table.

Aligning with our G4 Strategy, this role helps the kids in Children’s Ministry to Grow in Christ-likeness through their participation in Children’s Ministry programs and activities. This contribution is a godly gift to our PCC children and their families, because the Sunday Leader Substitute Gives of their talents and abilities.
